Contacts

Contacts for Special Conditions

Today, almost anyone can wear contacts. Need contacts for astigmatism or multi-focal contacts? We know the latest technologies in contacts, and we make things easy to understand.

Contacts for Astigmatism

Astigmatism is an additional curve on the surface of the cornea, or lens of the eye, that makes it difficult to focus. All contact lens manufacturers have comfortable designs for astigmatism. Some options include ACUVUE® OASYS™ for Astigmatism and AIR OPTIX® for Astigmatism.

Multi-focal Contacts (Contacts for Presbyopia)

Older than 40? No worries. There still are great options to address presbyopia. Presbyopia, or the gradual loss of close-up vision, generally affects people older than 40. And it's perfectly natural. It comes with age. Today, there are two types of corrective contact lenses for presbyopia:

  • Multi-focal lenses have two prescriptions on one lens. One part of the contact lens corrects for distance and the other corrects for near vision. Some options include ACUVUE OASYS for Presbyopia, Bausch & Lomb PureVision® Multi-Focal, and CooperVision® Proclear® Multifocal.
  • Monovision lenses correct one eye for distance and the other for near focus. Your brain determines which eye works for what you are viewing. It takes a little getting used to.
