Around the world millions of people suffer from poor vision because they lack access to or simply cannot afford eye care. Poor vision impedes a child's ability to learn in school and robs an adult of independence and quality of life. Give the Gift of Sight and NBC’s The Today Show
Tune in for the three-part series on eye care and the Gift of Sight program on NBC’s The Today Show. Each segment will feature the real life stories of individuals whose lives have been impacted by receiving the gift of sight. Share in their joy when they receive their glasses on air—seeing clearly for the very first time.

Pearle Vision Foundation
Pearle Vision Foundation (PVF) is an organization dedicated to sight preservation through vision research and education. Established in 1986 by Pearle Vision, the Foundation supports research to find better treatments and cures for vision threatening diseases and disorders, and for vision education through the Dr. Stanley Pearle Scholarship Fund. PVF is focused on preserving vision through its See the CureTM program. Through this program, the Foundation funds research and treatment for diabetic eye diseases, in search of a cure for diabetic retinopathy, the number one cause of adult blindness in the U.S. To date, PVF has awarded over $6 million in grants committed to vision preservation. Through PVF’s Dr. Stanley Pearle Scholarship Fund, twenty annual scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each will be extended to full time students pursuing graduate studies leading to a Doctor of Optometry degree. Learn more about the scholarship or download a scholarship application.
The Pearle Vision Foundation is funded primarily through a generous annual donation from Luxottica Retail, Pearle Vision's parent company, as well as private donations and fund raising events. Proceeds from the sale of Dr. Pearle's biography, "A Man of Vision", also support PVF.
