Children's Eye Exams

One in every 20 preschool-age child in the United States has a vision problem that, if left uncorrected, could lead to permanent loss of sight, according to Prevent Blindness America. Early detection of eye conditions is key in helping to prevent blindness.
Taking your children for their annual eye exams*, starting when they are in pre-school, will allow them to develop good fundamental learning skills. At Pearle Vision, we're committed to helping your family stay focused.
The American Optometric Association recommends that every child have a professional eye exam shortly after birth, by six months of age and again just prior to entering school. Children should receive annual eye exams once they are in school.
* In California, eye exams are available at Pearle Vision locations from licensed optometrists employed by "EYEXAM of California", a licensed vision health care service plan. The optometrists are not employed by Pearle Vision, Inc, which does not provide eye exams. Eye exams available by Independent Doctors of Optometry at or next to Pearle Vision, Inc. in most states. Doctors in some states are employed by Pearle Vision, Inc.
