Protecting Your Child from Injury
Certain lenses and frames have been specifically developed to protect the eyes during play and sports. Polycarbonate lenses offer lightweight, impact and scratch-resistant lenses that are perfectly suited for active kids and adults.
UV protective eyewear for children
It has been proven that ultraviolet (UV) light rays can be damaging to eyes. Your children are especially susceptible because they spend a great deal of time in the sun. Two types of UV rays, UV-A and UV-B, have been linked to eye disorders. For optimal UV protection, eyewear should screen both types of UV rays. It is recommended that eyewear block a minimum of 95 percent of UV rays. All kidSAFE lenses include 100% UV protection.
Pearle Vision stores offer FREE testing for the amount of UV protection in your child's eyewear. Use the Store Locator to find the Pearle store nearest you. |
