Dr. Jarryd Schieffer is a Hartington, Nebraska native, and attended college at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio where he was awarded academic letters of excellence and graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
He participated in various organizations and was a multi-year class representative. Dr. Schieffer received his training at the VA hospital in the Orlando area as well as the Surgical Centers of South Florida in Miami, FL. Also, Dr. Schieffer served as a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. He has been working in private practice in the Norfolk/Columbus area for the past 3 years. He and his wife Christa have two children, Amelia, and Eddie. In his free time, Dr. Schieffer enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, basketball, and being outdoors.
