It was an amazing practice when Dr. Chambers was there, but it has massively gone down hill since she relocated. With the past few annual visits, waiting times have been close to over an hour. Unlike my family, who still see Chambers, I chose to stay with them out of convienince. I am currnetly in school out of state and need contacts ASAP. My plan was to find a doctor here until I return home, which would be 2 years from now. I called to request my prescription, considering that it is 1. my health information and 2. vital information a new Dr would need. I was denied this information, because “I had not been to Pearle Vision in a year for my annual” ( also known as giving them money). Myself being in healthcare, is this not highly illegal…denying someone their personal health information? There is even a rule from the FTC called the “Contacts/Eye Glasses Rule” that prevents this very action. I explained that seeing a new doctor would not be permenant, i promised to return to Pearle Vision. Any practice that doesn’t put patients nor their circumstances first is not one that I would not and will not recommend my patients, nor go to it myself. Took a picture of what the door looks like\n\nI saw another post from 10 months ago similar to this, so maybe this is just how this location does business. The doctor decided to take over as i was speaking to the receptionist. The female doctor told the receptionist to order different contacts. She didn’t tell me she was doing this until the order was placed!!!! I had my unopened contacts in hand to exchange there and she did not listen what so ever. That was over a month ago. Where are the contacts you ordered against my wishes? I have not received them or any sort of confirmation email, phone call from the business letting me know my contacts are ready; absolutely nothing. I am a single parent and I only came in to get my daughter an eye exam and in contacts and a side pair of eyeglasses. Well when I left I ended up not even ordering the contacts because it was recommended to get disposable which only comes in 90 day or more and I told them that I would order at a later time.
