I had an appointment for my daughter and I and was told my daughter was not able to be seen by Dr. Marni Scanlon, as she is 5 years old and cannot read letters. However a year prior, she was seen by Dr. Ben Dixon and he worked with my daughter and was amazing and patient with her. I really wanted to continue to go here, but I do not have the means to continue to go to an office that cannot accommodate my daughter and I at the same time. Dr. Scanlon did not take the time to come into the exam room and explain to me, face to face, why she does not accommodate children. The assistant was becoming visibly frustrated with my questions, so I decided to take my business elsewhere. I repeatedly asked if this situation would affect my vision benefits, as we did not have an exam or purchase frames here.\n\nUpon calling another eye care facility to schedule an appointment, they informed me Pearle Vision had already authorized my vision insurance to purchase frames from them, when we did not participate in an eye exam in the first place.\n\nUsed to be the best place to get an eye exam, but has gone downhill unfortunately. My daughter felt terrible with herself, as if she did something wrong, that she couldn’t get her eyes checked and pick out new glasses.\n\nIf you’re looking for another facility who can help you and your kiddo at the same time, I would recommend Good iSight off of Hess & Parker- they have friendly staff who are willing to help the whole family. Since we moved to Parker, we started finding a good eye care center near our home. Based on google reviews, we thought this place would be the best and we took an appointment. This is my second eye care center in Denver. I was very satisfied with the first one I had in Greenwood Village. I would say Pearle Vision is the worst. The ladies sitting at the front desk dont talk properly and they think that they are the next president of America. They are not humble. After getting the vision checked for my wife and getting lenses, she started feeling headache. Obviously the number was not measured correctly. She went back to the old Optometrist and vision measured was obviously wrong. She got the new lenses. Similar thing happened to my son, he got glasses but started feeling pain as the glasses were pretty tight and he highlighted at the time of delivery but the lady at the front desk told it is quite normal even though my son developed blood clot on top of ear. They did mention if you post a good Facebook review, they give 40% concession and not I understood why it shows 4.6. After arriving on time for my eye exam, I waited 45 minutes to be seen. In retrospect, this was the first sign that customer care is not a priority at Pearle Vision. I was then referred to Mia, who would supposedly inform me of my options for prescription glasses. I was a repeat client who had previously purchased glasses here with all of the add-ons, and I only needed a simple back-up pair this time. Each time I firmly declined additional, expensive add-ons, Mia became more passive-aggressive and was clearly aggravated that she was not able to \"upsell\" me. I then asked if she was able to give me a trial pair of contacts given one of my lenses had fallen on the floor and was lost during the exam. She immediately disregarded my request and said it would not be possible with no attempt to ask the Doctor or offer any alternatives. In fact, she proceeded to say my contacts were \"old anyways.\" I was completely shocked by her comment and corrected her statement given it was a fresh lens replaced THAT DAY. I stated I would not be purchasing the glasses from her and would pay only the cost of the appointment. She abruptly stood from her chair stating \"I don't need this - I'll take your payment upfront!\" I was stunned by the complete change in her behavior, the absence of self-control in her professional workplace, and worst of all, NO intervention from other staff or the Doctor on-call. The entire situation was permitted to escalate and Mia continued to respond with a disrespectful and inappropriate tone claiming my mother and I were \"rude\" customers. The whole situation was unbelievable and after taking the proper channels to communicate the incident with the business manager, Amanda, and Dr. Ben Dixon, there was no sincere attempt to rectify the situation. We even sent a detailed letter describing the situation to Dr. Ben Dixon, which was ignored, and after several weeks, we called to follow up and he had to READ THE LETTER on the phone for the first time. Empty apologies were all that was offered, which forces me to continue escalating this complaint to corporate Pearle Vision and other avenues as necessary. I'm extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability in this office.
