I explained to the office manager that I did not want to purchase from Pearle right now, as last year’s glasses were still good, and I had several pair of contact lenses from last year, so wasn’t in a hurry to purchase more. When I asked for copies of prescriptions for both exams, I was told by the office manager that they don’t give copies of the contact lens prescription until the sample had been tried and worn for a week. This would ensure that the new prescription worked well for me. However, she still wanted me to order and pay for the new prescription at that time, without trying the sample lens. This didn’t make sense to me, so I asked again for copies of both prescriptions, telling her I didn’t need to buy anything now. She said she would give me the glasses prescription, but not the contact lens prescription. I offered to give back the one trial contact lens that the doctor gave me. After that, she rolled her eyes, walked to the back office, and returned with copies of both prescriptions. Not the customer service I expected after reading such great reviews. She told me i did not pay for my last visit which is $60 dollars. I told her i never received any bills. (I also work for a doctor office so I figured sometimes the visit don't get billed after 3-4 months or they are behind in billing). The way she talks to me like I was trying to dodge the payment. I ended up giving her my card to charge for the payment but then she told me that my insurance won't pay for the contacts. I had already called my insurance twice to verified and was told i get a discount for both contacts and glasses. The lady gave my a quote for the contacts I want for 170 dollars. I went ahead and contact eyemart and was seen by them and got my contacts for only 88 dollars. I will not be going back to this place after the way she talk to me. DR.
