My one star review is only because of pricing. You can get great service elsewhere too for a better price. Do your homework. Two of my frames were over 100 more than the price I pay at LensCrafters (where I’ve been going for ten years, but I thought I’d try Pearl as it is much closer). I was in there for hours, not planning on buying 4, and I had to fly for dinner reservations because it was my 60th—so my fault assuming that big names had same/similar prices as big competitors . When I went over my bill and called (I was there on a Thursday late afternoon and called Monday, I’m assuming in plenty of time to cancel as they shipped them out, no way the lenses were cut yet) i was told it was probably too late (again, no way they were cut yet) but someone would call back to discuss the pricing. I didn’t get a call back. I called back a couple days later about same thing and was placed on hold way too long and gave up. I figured I was stuck anyway. I called today to see if they were in yet. I inquired about the issue, as well as obviously misunderstanding other orders of frames and lenses being half off. Anyway, I was told I needed to do my homework better on pricing and that if I had shown the LensCrafters pricing at the time, I would have been given the same but that it was too late. My fault, but obviously, I’ll be going back to LensCrafters because I still see it as a service issue that could have been addressed by refunding me the difference or allowing me to cancel my order and get it at the better price since there is no way those lenses were cut. I ordered 4 pairs and asked to be called as they came in so I could pick them up as they came. It’s just short 3 weeks, and they couldn’t tell me if any arrived yet as they hadn’t checked today’s drop. They anticipated different arrival times. I’m not sure if any are in or if they decided to wait till they all came in anyway. I’ve never waited longer than two weeks before and am hoping it doesn’t go over the three weeks. Any way, loved the doctor and the staff that the took care of me, but they didn’t care that they just lost a yearly customer. I said I was really happy with everything else (aside from long wait and thinking that there probably is at least one of the 4 likely there) but considering they could have refunded me the price matching (like they said they would have had I shown them the price then —they don’t put on prices like LensCrafters does, and I walked in there already having my frames picked out, and they had them, so I made my eye exam appointment) or canceled my order in plenty of time, it’s left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m better off driving a little farther if I’ll save anywhere from 200-400$ elsewhere. I visited this location to drop off my glasses for a warranty claim. My previous purchase at Pearle was within the last year 10/2024 and so I filed a claim to have my lenses replaced due to a scratch on the coating. I was advised that my lenses would be back to me in 7-10 business days. So I contacted the store on 10/4/25 to check my warranty status. The rep advised me she couldn’t find my order in the system a she would call me back EOB for a status update.\n\nI never received a call back so I called back on Monday 10/6/25 and spoke with Angelica. She stated she couldn’t find my order in the system despite me dropping it off two weeks prior. I asked to speak with a manager, Tracy who stated she was able to locate my order and it usually takes 14 business days to process a claim and that the people who assisted me earlier were new and didn’t know any better. She told me to follow up next week and they should be done. This was two weeks ago and I’ve followed up since then to no avail.\n\nEach time I’ve called I’m given the run around and that my lenses are to be ready the following week. It is now 10/15 a full month has passed without my frames and I have even had to order another set in the interim due to having no real good backup pair. I called today on 10/15 and am still being told they should be ready any day, and the drop off was “only two weeks ago”. This was a lie because I dropped off the lenses mid September and followed up early October after being advised they would be replaced in 7-10 days.\n\nUpdate:\n\nThe manager Tracy reached out to me and I was not only able to get my glasses back but they gave me a whole new second pair on the house! Her professionalism and attention to detail rectified the situation and I appreciate her help!! I'm only sharing my opinion on the care I received and to give pause to those considering having Dr. Blum as their provider.\n\nI went in to see Dr. Blum for an annual eye exam and new prescription lenses. Even though the Optos Imaging is an additional fee that I opted out of before coming in, they still had me do the test and then get pressured into \"reviewing my results\" by the doctor for the additional charge. Fine.\n\nI'm somewhat glad they strong-armed me into the Optos Imaging because we found that I may be at risk for developing glaucoma. In the same breath, Dr. Blum was not concerned about my elevated eye pressures at the time of my appointment. I expressed to her that this news made me nervous and she brushed it off saying \"ya know what, don't worry about it\" and to check back in a year. A year.\n\nFast forward a few weeks and I'm at a glaucoma specialist who diagnosed me with Pigmentary Dispersion Syndrome, a type of open-angle glaucoma, and started me on Latanoprost that night for IOPs bordering 30. I am advised to stop running for exercise.\n\nIf I had pushed this off an entire year like Dr. Blum suggested, I could have been in a much worse situation. I will not be returning to Pearle Vision in any capacity, but especially not under Dr. Blum's care. It is my opinion that she may not be experienced enough to diagnose these sorts of conditions.\n\nMy experience may be different from yours, but I encourage you to really dig into your doctor before committing to an appointment. Most importantly, get a second opinion when you feel like your concerns are being brushed off.
