We went to Eye World next door to get some inexpensive glasses but the lense kept popping out of the frames. I world fix them myself by tightening the screws. Not a big deal but when my fiance sat on his glasses we needed some serious help. The frames were bent, the glasses were crooked on his face and the frames would no longer hold a screw. We went back to Eye World and they refused to touch the glasses saying they might break. OK, but they are already broken.... We decided to walk next-door to Pearle Vision. The guy was there to help. He really impressed us with his skill and got my fiance back on the road (he's a trucker). The glasses never lost the lense, looked straight on his face and didn't break until my fiance sat on them again a year and a half later. 😆 They didn't charge us for the repair and we just ordered new glasses this week. They fixed them for us again. They got us in within an hour, helped us figure out our deadbeat insurance and we got his eyes checked, new glasses on order, and his old glasses were repaired so he can drive for work. I went to get my yearly checkup and to start out we did the eye tests such as the puff of air. When we got done with that i had a line of somebody elses foundation striped across my forehead from that machine we had used showing they had not even cleaned the machine before different patients. then we went to do the eye exam and the doctor told me my prescription had gotten better which i did not find that plausible but i was willing to try it out so he had me try on contacts for this. they then charged my $60 for a \"contact fitting\" when i have worn contacts for over 10 years. the doctor sent me with contacts to try out with this new prescription. I tried this prescription out for a couple days but when I was driving I could not read the road signs at all- they were almost completely blurry. I called pearle vision telling them this and they had me come in again. I came in and he tested my vision again saying he was correct and i was wrong and did not listen to my concerns at all. when telling him i could not read road signs he doubled down saying that my eyes were still \"adjusting\"- completely gaslighting me and ignoring any concerns i had.\n\ni then went to a different eye doctor and told them none of this as to get an unbiased eye exam. i got the eye exam and my new prescription where i left with contacts in this new prescription (where they did not charge me $60 for \"contact firtting\") and i could read road signs with this-proving that last prescription from pearle vision was completely wrong and it wasnt just my eyes \"adjusting\".\n\nMoral of the story:terrible experience here and always advocate for yourself- you know your body best! The third week same guy Matt was very instigative in his attitude and words and treatment of me in front of my daughter on top of it. This was absolutely a horrific experience and I'm probably being overly nice by giving them two stars. The one pair of glasses that I've received so far are a nice pair of glasses and they are comfortable and appear to be of decent quality. But I had to call back and ask and inquire about a case for a Ralph. Lauren polo frames that were several hundred Dollars. When you spend the kind of money to purchase the kind of quality I did. You expect solid customer service. And if your things aren't ready, you expect somebody to look into it and find out. This man was unconcerned and I was an inconvenience to him, although there wasn't one other customer in the entire store.\nNow a lady called advised was a manager I explained I didn't have time to talk as I'm at work, but I could be available after 2pm, as I was available all day Saturday when I came by their location and was advised by Matt that the manager would call me. This lady told me no one said that she would contact me back which is untrue. And she wished to argue although I made clear I'm working and had no time to talk. This is such a horrible experience I will never use this store again. They are beyond rude and unprofessional. Clearly this is more than one representitive but a Management issue as well. Also reduce to 1 star because the treatment I have received is deplorable.\nNow the manager who refused to call me at 2pm called promptly at 2pm and back tracked stating was not refusing to call and apologized for confusion. Then she said the glasses would be ready in another week because lenses they told me they had are still on back order. I advised I would simply like a refund for the second pair and Laura the manager immediately cut me off and accused me of threatening her employee Matt WHICH DID NOT OCCUR AT ALL. This gentleman is literally twice my size, and half my age. Laura refused any refund at all, refused the owners info to contact. And said that she is aware and unconcerned about the corporate complaint. Laura was extremely combative and never once asked my side of the story or what could have happened better. She only made accusations and verbal attacks stating they will not ever refund the second pair of glasses that are over a week late and a half late. I would never recommend using this franchise ever! The leadership and management of this store and most of its employees show they have no morals or honesty or any intention in doing the right thing. This is such a horrible experience. We have both used Pearle Vision before and it was on our list of providers. My husband really needed new glasses so we made an appointment and he took a day off work and went. He got the glasses back a week later and he couldn't see far away very well, so he called and they told him he would have to get used to them. We both wear glasses and have never had to get used to them. They never got better and were causing headaches so he went back ( another day off) and got them fixed again. They were still not right and the final total was 600.00 dollars. He made an appointment with his old doctor since he had to see and he was weeks in with PV and two days off burned up at work. He got his new glasses from his old Dr and they cost 400.00 and he can see. 1000.00 dollars later he has one pair of glasses he can wear out of pocket and another in a drawer. What a disappointment and waste of time and money. I had an appointment also and I canceled. I can't afford to pay that kind of money not to be able to see. My husband is going to see if PV will put his latest prescription in his PV frames since he would like to wear a pair of 600.00 glasses. It's the only solution since he can't keep taking off work till they get it right.
