I spent 10 minutes giving my new patient information (name, email, phone, insurance, etc.) to the employee and she scheduled me for a couple weeks out. I put it in my calendar right then and was looking forward to my eye exam to get new glasses.\n\nFast forward to my appointment today. I showed up with lots of time to spare (she'd told me to be 15 minutes early) and not only did they not have an appointment for me, they didn't even have me in the system!\n\nI pointed out the employee who had booked me to the person who was at the front counter, and she said she remembered me and our conversation, but then tried to gaslight me saying we \"never actually booked an appointment\" and \"were just talking about it\", rather than having the integrity to own up to whatever mistake led to my appointment not being saved in the system.\n\nI guess I hallucinated giving her all my info and made up the date in my head. Must have been a mass hallucination as my husband remembers it the same.\n\nI'm addition to dad, her response was absolutely zero empathy, just a very flat, \"oh, well, sorry, we can rebook you for July\".\n\nWhat kind of customer service is that after you've cost someone time and money (time off work, gas, etc.) due to your incompetence? The least that should happen in such a situation is taking responsibility by admitting your mistake, apologizing sincerely, and seeing what it is you can do to make that right, like (for example) checking with the doc to see if that customer could be squeezed in, or offering some kind of discount.\n\nThis employee did absolutely nothing. She tried to gaslight me into believing I was never scheduled, smirked at me, and offered to book me for sometime in July. As if there's any guarantee I would actually be scheduled this time and not just wasting my time again.\n\nI tried to nicely send this to just corporate but the email submission form on the website doesn't work, at least not on mobile. I show up for said appointment and she claims I told her I wanted contacts. I explained calmly I did not ever say that considering the experience I had the last time. She was very rude and short. I saw the doctor and he said I had a change in script. When she saw the change she told me I didn’t need new glasses it wasn’t a significant change. I took her word for it and went with her to check out. Apparently with my insurance I have a $10 copay. Christine said I could not leave until I paid it. I told her I would call first thing in the morning when I got paid. She said I can’t let you leave can’t you call someone? I said I’m sorry I have no one to call? She said to another lady what am I supposed to do she doesn’t have $10, the lady yelled well you can’t release any information until she pays. Needless to say they let me leave embarrassed, and wondering if they were calling the police versus just sending me a bill? How rude and way to make a person feel even worse about not having any money.
