I was told that all of your lenses \"must\" include UV protection and that there was no option to receive the standard Medicaid-covered lenses.\n\nThis is not accurate. UV coating is an optional upgrade, not a mandatory requirement, and Medicaid covers standard lenses at no cost. Because I did not have the zero/ money, I was denied the glasses I am entitled to under my insurance plan.\n\nAs a result, I had to leave without glasses, reschedule my appointment with another provider, and reschedule my medical transportation. I have not had glasses in 6 years, and this experience caused unnecessary stress and hardship.\n\nI am requesting the following:\n1. A full investigation into the Eastgate location’s billing and sales practices.\n2. Confirmation of whether this “mandatory UV coating” claim is a corporate policy.\n3. Assurance that Medicaid patients will not be denied covered services.\n4. The day I was there UPS was picking up and dropping off items at 1130 am.
