Dr. Clegg is amazing and always has been. I have always been given an attitude by Elizabeth for no reason what so ever besides the face that she takes it personally that Dr. Clegg has given me a pair of trial contacts that she got upset about. I ordered my son glasses a week ago and picked them up yesterday and all was good with the interaction with Jack there until he called to tell me the glasses I wanted to order for myself wouldn’t be covered under my insurance. I called my insurance to ask why and somehow that rubbed Elizabeth the wrong way. She doesn’t like being told she is wrong I guess. In calling my insurance I also found out that they fraudulently billed out the charges for my sons glasses and double billed for polycarbonate and blue light instead of billing it together and that is why I had an out of pocket cost. So apparently her getting caught by charging me for something she should not have and lying to me about then covering my glasses she was offended. Rather than MAKING IT RIGHT, Elizabeth called me and told me I am no longer welcome there and if I enter their establishment that they will call the police. I asked for the district managers contact information or to have him contact me and she refused and said he fully supports her. I can see numerous other bad experiences here with Elizabeth and hope that the district manager sees this so this can be brought to someone’s attention. My next step is contacting the BBB and filing a complaint there and I will go further if I need to. This is complete unfair treatment for someone who has been a paying customer there for over 10 years. She acted as if I came in there and stole from them or something. Also when my son got his eyes checked there a week ago and I waited outside Elizabeth the entire time was talking to her coworker Jack about how they don’t give trials to people who order from Costco and that they will be putting a stop to that with Dr. Clegg. She clearly was saying that because I was sitting right there. It was odd. Then when my son came out she also told Jack… they go to Costco… my son wanted to look at glasses… so we were looking at them and he picked a pair and wanted to order them. They did not want to place the order then and Jack said he would call me next week with a quote to order them once they looked up my insurance. I said to Elizabeth during that time that I don’t go to Costco for glasses and never have. I have purchased my contacts from Costco since I found out they are half the price as Pearl Vision charges yes. Pearl vision quoted me $180 per box and I got them at Costco for $104 per box… literally almost half the price. So she is mad that I order contacts from glasses. She yelled excuse me across the room and for very aggressive with me that day. I have been going to Dr. Clegg for 10 plus years now and my boys and husband also go to him too. I think that Elizabeth is upset about losing their contact sales for me there but who wouldn’t go somewhere that was 90% less than they are charging. That does not mean that she can kick me out from purchasing glasses from them. I am still giving them my business. I am hoping this review will get the attention of someone at corporate or the district manager because I do not feel that this is right in the least. I am not one to leave bad reviews like this, but they need to make this right. Please contact me. The customer service here is nonexistent. It all started with a combative “manager “ telling me the benefits I have had for over six years were not my benefits. After talking down to me, she quickly called my insurance and verified that I have two policies.\n\nNo appointments needed, we all make mistakes, but this “manager” managed to keep a chip on her shoulder during the whole experience. I picked out three pairs of glasses, my insurance covers three pairs, but she had an issue with the third pair. she stated my insurance won’t cover them. So I gave them a call and requested an explanation of benefits. My insurance covers anything in the store up to $225, anything over is out of pocket.\n\nThe ”manager” was present for the explanation of benefits, acknowledged what my provider explained, but then explained that it was their company policy for those particular glasses. It doesn’t make any sense.\n\nIf you need eye care, go elsewhere. These “front of house” employees are poorly trained and give off the impression that they do not like their job.
