As I waited, the team, including the two eye doctors, shared their midday culinary adventures, while a sales rep captured their attention with a video of a track meet. Seriously?\nIn hindsight, arriving at 2 p.m. might have spared me the delay, though I suspect it would have also earned me a scolding for tardiness. It was a frustrating half-hour, feeling like an extra in a scene where I should've been the lead.\nHowever, the visit wasn't without its merits. Dr. Rex Gross stood out as an excellent optometrist who defied the rush-and-go norm. He listened attentively to my concerns, provided a thorough explanation of my issues, and did his best to get me a referral to an ophthalmologist. I had my exam on my first visit. The quickest exam I have ever had for glasses. A flip of just a couple of frames and it was done. Usually with my past eye doctors it took time flipping through many lenses asking me which view was better. Got my glasses a week later. I could not see through the top or the bottom of the glasses. Everything was blurry. Also on the right side everything was about 25% bigger and if i turned my head from side to side my entire field of vision moved in waves as I panned around. Lenses were definitely no good. Made an appointment for a second exam. Same thing, just a few flips of a couple of lenses and a different prescription strength was given. Went out front after the exam with the new prescription and asked the woman helping me for the fitting to add the lines to my new lenses this time as that is what I am used to and she marked the glasses where the lines should be and I was done. 10 days later my new glasses were ready to pick up. I went in and new lenses did not have the lines in them as requested and were marked for on the 2nd visit and everything on the right side was still about 25% bigger as before and when panning everything moved in waves and still could not see out of the top & bottoms. I honestly think it was the same lenses with either nothing done to them or reused the old lenses and still did not come out right because of the same size distortion on the right side and no lines added on the lenses. At that point I just ate the $350.00+ with insurance for the glasses and decided I'll wait until I can go again next year for a new exam and glasses, but I will not be returning to this location or any Pearl Vision in the future. I will look elsewhere for glasses. My old glasses are no longer working well so I will be going a year straining my eyes to the extreme trying to read & work on my computer. I have really nice new glasses I can not use in the glass case they came with that I'm using as a paper weight for the next year.
