My son and daughter both had Eye exam at another location and we did not like the frames. I chose to have my exam do at this location and allow them to look for glasses as they are in network with my insurance. My 13 year old son and I found glasses I was told since his prescription was over -11 I had to pay an additional $100 we left because I’ve been to other pearl vision and have not had to pay anything additional. My son had to get reexamined because his current glasses are his back up and are to strong so they lower his prescription to 10 we went back to that pearl vision due to the other one being independently owned and no longer in network. Not another dime to that place. I will say that dr. Nguyen is very nice and competent. The manager is horrid. I ended up going to the glasses place associated with my cataract surgeon. They did a fabulous job and ensured everything worked correctly. I asked for the office name, Jennifer, but she was off on Monday. The assistant said she'd let her know to call me on Tuesday to make an arrangement. Tuesday noon, still no phone call. So, I called, she was in the office and denied the incident and said she was not told. So, immediately went to the store. Funny thing was that as soon as she saw me walk in, she said, I'll fix it for $450. 😲 Yikes! I thought you didn't know anything. They went from $450, to $350, to $250. I said, this was not my fault! Why should I have to pay for lenses that were damaged by y'all? I informed them that I would file a claim with corporate. She threatened me and said that if I dud, that they'd no longer help me. That was all she could do, advised by the store manger Jessica. I filled the claim with corporate and the store told them that I had agreed if my glasses were damaged it would not be their fault. I never agreed nor was told about it. Now, I feel maybe they purposely do these damages for them to charge!? Idk 🤷‍♀️ I'm sad and frustrated. I explained to them that I had lost my job a year ago and I was home carrying for my elderly mother-in-law, if they'd touch their heart to repair my lenses. I had paid $717 for them a year ago and just like that they wanted me to pay again. What is wrong with these companies?!
