Pearle Vision Destin

I have been doing business with Pearle Vision in Destin for decades, and this review is less about the business itself and more about one exceptional employee — Lulu Sanchez. Many years ago, I purchased a wonderful pair of Costa sunglasses that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, only a few months later, I had cataract surgery, and the prescription became far too strong for me to use. I went to Pearle Vision hoping to replace the lenses with non-prescription lenses in my Costa frames. At the time, however, we were deep in the Covid pandemic, and Costa had suspended lens replacements until things settled down. Fast forward several years later — my eyes changed again, and I found myself needing corrective lenses once more. I stopped by Pearle Vision to see if Costa had resumed lens swaps and was thrilled to learn that they had. Lulu spent a great deal of time helping me search online for my frames, only to discover they had long since been discontinued. Seeing my disappointment, she refused to give up. Lulu personally called the Costa lab to explore possible solutions, and through her persistence, she found a similar frame whose lenses would fit mine perfectly. These were not inexpensive lenses — progressive prescription lenses on a curve, something only Costa makes — but they were absolutely worth it. I am beyond delighted to have my “new again” Costa sunglasses back. They are perfect for fishing, beach days, and biking. The ladies at Pearle Vision Destin were VERY NICE, Pleasant to work with, Very Knowledgeable, Let me Pick & choose ( I’m old & on the spectrum, sometimes not easy to deal with ) they made me feel much more comfortable. From start to finish the experience was great. Optician was thorough, thoughtful and efficient. The technician was excellent. Very patient with great insight into frames and lenses.

Lulu and Dr Holcomb were amazing! The office Manager and Jeanne, Tech, were all 5 star performers! 10 years a satisfied customer story!

I love that the exam does not include having to be dilated, and they can see great things with the machines and Dr. Holcombe is great as is the office staff.

My daughter and I had appointments on the same day. Dr. Riggs is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything and answer any questions we had. It is obvious she genuinely cares about her patients. All employees were friendly and helpful!
