Eye Doctors in Ames, IA
Welcome to Pearle Vision Ames! **WE STILL ACCEPT AVESIS!** Pearle Vision is continues to accept Avesis for glasses and contact lenses. Currently, the independent doctor’s office is experiencing a temporary credentialing issue with some Avesis medical plans. This does **not** affect Iowa State University employees, who can still use Wellmark/BCBS for exams and Avesis for eyewear. Patients whose eye exam and eyewear both process through Avesis (including some MGMC employees) may experience temporary delays for eye exams. During this time, you may: • Use an outside prescription for eyewear or contacts • Join our waitlist for scheduling updates • Extend contact lens prescriptions for 6 months (Avesis patients) • Pay out of pocket and submit for reimbursement Questions? Please call us at 515-232-5627. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.
