I genuinely wish I could give this place ZERO stars, because one star is far more generous than Pearle Vision in Irvine deserves. What started as a simple, routine purchase of prescription glasses for my son has turned into one of the most frustrating, exhausting, and infuriating customer service experiences I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
I placed an order for prescription glasses for my son and paid in full, expecting the basic level of service any reputable optical store should provide: deliver the product the customer paid for. That apparently is asking far too much from this location. Weeks have gone by — WEEKS — and the glasses have STILL not been delivered. My son has been left waiting, unable to see properly, while this store sits on my money and offers nothing but empty promises.
I have personally gone into the store THREE separate times trying to resolve this, and every single time I'm met with a new excuse. One visit it's "they're on the way." The next visit it's "there's a delay with the lab." The next it's some other vague, recycled line that clearly nobody bothers to verify or follow up on. It's like they have a script of excuses they rotate through hoping customers will eventually give up and go away. Not once has anyone proactively called me, emailed me, or given me a straight answer about where my son's glasses actually are.
To make matters even worse, I asked for a REFUND — a completely reasonable request considering they have failed to deliver the product I paid for — and they are refusing to give me my money back. So let me get this straight: they won't deliver the glasses, AND they won't return the money I paid for the glasses they won't deliver? That's not a business, that's straight-up theft dressed up in a polished storefront.
I escalated this to the manager, expecting some level of accountability or at the very least a sincere effort to make things right. Instead, I got more of the same: deflection, excuses, fake sympathy, and absolutely zero action. The manager seems completely indifferent to the fact that a paying customer has been jerked around for weeks and that a child is waiting on glasses he needs. No urgency. No ownership. No solution. Just more lip service.
This is, without exaggeration, one of the most unprofessional, disorganized, and disrespectful businesses I have ever dealt with. They take your money quickly enough, but the moment something goes wrong, they vanish behind a wall of excuses and refuse to make it right. It's clear they do not value their customers, do not value children who need vision care, and do not value basic business ethics.
Save yourself the headache, the wasted gas, the wasted time, and the stolen money. Go ANYWHERE else — Costco Optical, Warby Parker, LensCrafters, an independent optometrist, literally anywhere but here. Do NOT trust Pearle Vision in Irvine with your prescription, your money, or your family's eye care. You will regret it.
I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, disputing the charge with my credit card company, and warning every single person I know to stay far away from this location. Absolutely shameful.

The best most store exam I’ve ever had. Dr. glass provided the most comprehensive exam and took the time to explain every detail. They squeeze me in while I was on my way to another optometrist which I am reluctant. If you come in, ask for Sam or any other technician and they will provide you the most professional and thorough service. I recommend this office for anyone.
