Last year I came in for a regular eye exam. The doctor was very thorough and the glasses staff was super helpful and understanding as it was my first time needing glasses!\n\nWhat blew me away though was how detailed the doctor was with inspecting my eyes, so detailed that she suspected I may have had a torn retina and I needed to be seen by a retinal specialist asap. The office arranged everything, getting me referred to the surgeon with an appointment for the next day where they did confirm a tear and I had surgery days later to repair!\n\nI never expected something like that to come out of a normal eye exam, nonetheless at a Pearle Vision! But it just goes to show how great the doctors are here, they truly care about the patient and that experience showed that. I told her we were going the wrong direction and it was blurry. She took 2 boxes from her 4 prescriptions in front of her and handed them to me and said try these and then told me I needed a dry eye appt too. I left wearing a blurry contact that I had to pull over on the side of the road and take out. I had only 3 pairs of contacts I couldn't wear to last me 2 weeks. They were daily wear. I called 3 times and left messages with techs over a 2 week period and no return calls. I then canceled the dry eye appt thinking someone would follow up. Nope! No follow up and no return calls after 2 and a half weeks. Now I'm out my 1 exam per year on my insurance and forced to pay out of pocket to go somewhere else who doesn't treat their patients like they are just a number. I had a terrible experience and realized I inadvertently broke up with the best eye doctor ever but luckily, she took me back.\nShe spent almost 2 hours with me looking at my eyeball pics, listening to the issues I've been having like double vision, she worked to find the correct toric lenses, the exact prescription and even gave me the power I will need for my readers. Dr. Hamilton listened to me when I told her my eye felt like an old grape when I pull out my contacts, I know gross right?
