When I entered the store, I was greeted by a very unfriendly front desk employee who didn’t explain the check-in process and added a $39.99 charge to my copay without any explanation. When I asked about it, she couldn’t give me an answer. A supervisor (I’m assuming) stepped in and explained the charge, and I agreed to it rather than having my eyes dilated.\nOnce I was taken back for the exam, I was given a few tests by someone who seemed unsure of what they were doing, which made me uncomfortable. After that, I waited in another room for the doctor.\nThe doctor herself was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything clearly, and completely changed my impression of the visit. After the exam, I was helped with selecting glasses, and that experience was also great. The staff assisting with eyewear was friendly and helpful.\nPrices were on the higher side, but I did purchase good-quality name brand glasses and sunglasses. Overall, I’m conflicted. While the doctor and eyewear staff were impressive, the front desk experience and initial testing left a bad impression. I have now spent over $600 in two years and last year both my glasses and contacts were bad RXs (bought 200 contacts at Costco just to have them be painful) and this year I’m already having a hard time with the glasses. I didn’t even know this existed and could happen because I have been doing this for over 20 years. I have had to ask twice to get my RX and I forgot my coupon at home and they would not retroactively apply. Just feels like they don’t care. Last year when I came 3 times complaining about my glasses not once did they say I could get them re done. Now a year later after not wearing them once they tell me this. The eye doctor always asked when we got there what we needed for the appointment.\nGoing back to this visit. The assistant was adamant on asking us both if we were happy with our current contacts, I said yes but she was pushy in trying to upsell some new contact they just got.\nIn short, unprofessional on how pishy she was. Even the eye doctor asked if we were happy but wasnt pushing to buy the new contacts. She left that option up to us.\nI took the eye doctor up on trying these new contacts for a few days to see if I would like them.\nUltimately did not and wanted to go back to my usual version of this brand. Called a few days after my appointment the girl on the phone was not able to find my script, said someone would call me right back I waited a day and no one ever did.\nI had to call them. Seems like they could care less to take care of paying customers.\nFast forward to December 2025 I get a text from a random number saying to reply to the text to schedule my next appointment. How unprofessional!
