This was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with a medical practice. My routine appointment with Dr. Vaishnav itself was straightforward, but the issues that followed created a much more difficult experience overall.\n\nWhen I needed a prior authorization for medication, the office would not submit it directly to my insurance. After more than two months of back-and-forth with no resolution, I was ultimately forced to pay out of pocket. Throughout that time, no one took ownership of the issue or provided clear guidance on next steps.\n\nTrying to contact the office only added to the frustration. There is no online portal or alternative way to communicate, so the phone was the only option. I was repeatedly placed on hold for 5-10 minutes, only for calls to drop. This happened often enough that it felt like a pattern, making it extremely difficult to get any updates or support.\n\nWhat was also frustrating is that when I later saw a different doctor, they mentioned that more affordable generic alternatives (medications that serve the same purpose) could have been considered. The staff was very pushy to purchase glasses since I have a double benefit with my insurance. Unfortunately, the glasses were more expensive than my insurance and we just didn’t like any of the styles.\n\nAfter our initial visit, the doctor’s office “lost” our prescription and we had to redo the exam to confirm the prescription.\n\nUpdate - I submitted a grievance with VSP and you can see that they made an original claim for lenses and frames. She went out of her way to get my lenses—hard-to-find ones due to my astigmatism—from another location and had my glasses ready the day before my trip.
