For the past five years, Pearl Vision has been my go-to for eye care. In fact, after avoiding eye exams for nearly eight years because of a genuine fear of anything touching my eyes, this was the office that helped me return. The doctor had always been patient, empathetic, and understanding of my anxiety, and I truly appreciated that.
Unfortunately, this year's experience was completely different.
My appointment was rescheduled three separate times before I was finally seen. On the day of my appointment, I arrived eight minutes late and was told I would have to wait another 30 minutes because the doctor's 8 minute grace period for late arrivals had expired (later found out he wasn't even in the office due to his lunch running late). Given the multiple times my appointment had been rescheduled by the office, I had hoped for the same understanding and flexibility that had previously been extended to me. Instead, I was made to feel like an inconvenience.
The exam itself felt rushed and incomplete. After only a minimal evaluation, I was essentially told, "You're fine, prescription is the same. Go buy glasses—or don't—and call me if the tag in your eye gets itchy" That was the extent of the visit. There was no meaningful discussion, no thorough examination, and none of the compassionate care I had come to expect over the past several years.
What disappointed me most wasn't having to wait or even the abbreviated exam—it was feeling that I was no longer valued as a patient. I left with the impression that because I wasn't purchasing expensive eyewear or additional testing, my care simply wasn't a priority. Whether or not that was the intention, it was certainly the experience.
As a healthcare business consultant, I spend my career helping practices excel by building trust through transparency, consistency, and respect. Patients understand that schedules run behind and policies exist, but they also remember how they were made to feel. Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling dismissed rather than cared for.
After five years of loyalty, I never expected my final visit to end this way. I won't be returning, and that genuinely saddens me because I know firsthand how excellent this practice was capable of being. My hope is that this feedback encourages a return to the empathy and patient-centered care that originally earned my trust.

(Translated by Google) Excellent service; both the doctors and staff are kind, friendly, and empathetic. Even though they were closing, they gave us time to choose my husband's glasses; they never charged us a price. This was my second checkup this year, and I will definitely be back.

I honestly couldn't be happier with my experience! From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel welcome and comfortable. Mariana and Andrea were incredibly kind, professional, and efficient, and the entire office had such a friendly atmosphere.
Dr. Masolak was absolutely amazing—thorough, patient, and genuinely caring. She took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire exam. I never felt rushed, and it was obvious she truly cares about her patients and providing the best possible care.
It's not often you find a healthcare provider who combines expertise with such a warm, personal touch. I left feeling confident about my eye health and grateful that I found this practice. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional eye care. Thank you for such a wonderful experience—I won't be going anywhere else!

I can't recommend this Pearle Vision location enough! Everyone who works there does an amazing job and I always feel taken care of when I leave. I especially want to thank Dr. Blackett for the awesome job he has done as my eye doctor. Every time I come in with an issue he works with me to find a solution that works for my eyes. He's by far the best eye doctor I've ever had and I am so glad I was able to become his patient. If you are looking for a new eye doctor I would definitely start here.

I have been a customer since 2018, with my last documented visit in 2023. I scheduled an appointment today for a contact lens examination, but the experience was extremely disappointing.
Rather than beginning with an eye exam, the doctor spent a significant amount of time questioning my visit history and the validity of the prescription I presented. The appointment felt less like a professional assessment and more like an interrogation. The examination did not begin until I expressed that the visit was becoming frustrating and unproductive, and questioned why, as the doctor, he was not conducting the exam. His response was, "Well, let's just do everything from the beginning."
Following the appointment, I spoke with the manager, who was able to locate my most recent visit from 2023. It was discovered that the visit had been documented incorrectly under a different location. Additionally, 1-800 Contacts confirmed that the prescription in question had been processed as a verbal order through their doctor-to-doctor communication portal. The manager denied that this was possible, citing company policy, despite the information provided by 1-800 Contacts.
This situation highlighted what appeared to be significant issues with both documentation and policy adherence:
Documentation errors, including records associated with the wrong location.
Apparent inconsistencies in policy application and prescription verification procedures.
These issues resulted in unnecessary delays, frustration, and a lack of confidence in the care I received. Unfortunately, due to this experience and the inconsistencies I encountered, I will not be returning to this location or any affiliated locations in the future. Trust is essential when it comes to eye care, and I no longer feel confident placing my care in their hands.
