When we visited Dr. Goerke was thorough, informative, and lighthearted - she makes the appointment enjoyable! Then when purchasing my glasses & contacts they had my insurance ready to go and I was done in 10 minutes. I am so pleased with this because at our last eye clinic it would take 45min to an hour to complete insurance and payment. The eye care place I go usually (because it is closest to my house) doesn't do weekend work, nor Friday afternoon. Well the eye ulcer was discovered Saturday morning. So like the frantic mother I am, start calling every eye care place possible.\nThis place was open with a doctor on staff (apparently not all eye places have a doctor on staff, and an eye ulcer requires a doctor). In fact, the doctor said that she would stay past open hours because again eye ulcers can turn bad quickly.\nSo she stayed after hours for us on a SATURDAY, then gives me her card with her cell number on it, and tells me \"I want you to text or call me with an update tonight\"\nWHAT?! You want me to annoy you on the weekend. Oh but that's not all...\nSunday, she texts me at around 9am and asks how things are going. This doctor has already gone above and beyond. Then says \"I would like to see her today\" STILL A SUNDAY!!\nWe go in and the ulcer is still not progressing in a good way. So she says \"what time do you go to school, I will see her before that tomorrow\"\nSo if you are keeping track, I have this doctor's cell phone, I have her attention on Saturday, Sunday, and now she will see her before school and work on Monday (2 hours before they actually open). I have never been treated so good by any company in my entire life.\nThis place has now become our forever vision care. The service was above and beyond. The place was super clean and organized. The staff was so sweet and caring, all of them were. Not once did I feel alone in what could have been a very scary situation. I can't say enough amazing things about this place.\n\nThank you Pearle Vision for being Awesome, and not leaving a scared mother's side.\n\nFor anyone still reading... We had an experience with an eye ulcer over a year before this one with another person in the family. It happened on a Thursday, we got checked out by the other place that shuts down for the weekend, by Monday we were being sent to a surgeon talking about how he was going to lose his eye sight and over $1000 in medical bills later we got it taken care of. There was a bit of a wait when we got there for my prescheduled appointment, but nothing I felt out of the ordinary or excessive. The eye exam was fast, thorough, non-stressful, and accurate. The staff was friendly, kind, and patient (we brought along our 2 and 5 year old who can test anyone's patience in mere minutes). The doctor was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and very easy to talk to (I'm a pretty big introvert and felt comfortable). To me, she was better than any other optometrist I've had. The glasses selection was great. With the holidays coming up they prepared me to potentially have to wait a little longer for my glasses, however, I got a call a week, or less, later that my glasses were ready. It's the fastest I've ever received my glasses. The fitting was fine and I didn't have to wait. They were friendly at this point as well. I will note that I really don't have them do much for fitting, I do that myself because my nose is weird and, again, introvert.
