I went to this place because they have Meta AI glasses. My insurance covers the AI glasses as all my colleagues were able to do that for this year. However, the receptionist refused to check my insurance coverage and instead told me that the glasses were not covered. The receptionist was also unfriendly, which made the experience frustrating.

Ordered contact lenses. Paid 1000 dollars upfront. No signs of these contact lenses after weeks. Have contacted the
*location* . Montague street is under new management and I am out over 1000 dollars.

used to travel all the way back here for Dr. Steinman. Once he passed, shop was not the same. Incompetent staff (15 minutes on the phone to simply take a credit card for my order), bait &switch, price changes from what was quoted to extra money to try to rip you off, what a mess. Will go to Target.

I was able to book an appointment online for the next morning, which made things easy for me. I did not know Pearle Vision had multiple locations, so I am happy to find out they have a location near me. I am happy my company insurance covers vision under this company as the other one was not very easy to navigate. I was seen by the doctor quickly, and she answered all my questions without judgment or rushing me. I was extremely happy that they accommodated using the same frame that I had for the last five years, because as a student, I am on a budget. Also, as it is embarrassing to ask about prices, the staff was able to answer my questions to reduce costs without any awkwardness. I was notified within a week that my frames were ready. Thank you for making this easy before starting school in the Fall semester and going back to work with the hussle and bussle.

Delano at the Montague St. store helped me pick out two perfect pairs. He also assisted me in navigating payment through my FSA so I saved money. Lizzy, the vision tech, set me at ease as she was screening me for eye disease. I will go back to Pearle for my next pairs of glasses.

The WORST. They’re nice employees but we were completely overcharged - regular glasses that go for $60 online (I checked exact frames later) were being sold for $200 in the shop, then they tack on an additional $150 for the prescription, another $120 for blue light and an additional $120 for anti glare. So the total was a mind boggling $689.95 before insurance. When I decided the next morning that this felt extremely off I called back to cancel it, I left a message requesting cancellation and no one responded. I called again the following day and they said I could not get a refund that it was too late. They had already processed the claim which they said they could not undo, but they did discount $105 for the blue light (why not the $120?) which apparently I shouldn’t have been charged. I felt stuck because they said they wouldn’t refund me, even though they never said that at the outset.
The kicker was that when we went to pick up over a week later, they had ordered the WRONG frames!!! And at that point I asked again to be refunded, that this was their mistake and that I am no longer interested. They refused and offered to redo the original frames - and somehow now it could be done within 12 hours? Now I have to dispute it with the cc company. I would NEVER go here again. Warby Parker was $145 all said and done, and the simplest easiest process.

I really regret going here. I usually go to LensCrafters for eye exams and to order contacts and it’s typically a fast experience. This year I went to Pearle Vision in Brooklyn Heights because they were the only place I could find an appointment. First, they called me and asked me to arrive 30 minutes early to my appointment so the doctor could leave on time. I rearranged my day to get there early, and the doctor didn’t end up seeing me until 30 minutes after my scheduled time, so I had to wait an hour. The overall appointment was slow and I felt like the employees were not really paying attention to me or giving me updates. At the end of the appointment I ordered contacts lenses for the year which cost over $1000. They told me that I should get them delivered to the store otherwise it could take weeks for them to arrive to my house, which I agreed to. Fast forward and it has been 3 weeks and I still haven’t received my contacts. I’ve had to call the office multiple times to check on my order and each time they say they should be here in a few days. Still nothing. I totally regret going here; I wish I would’ve gotten my prescription elsewhere and ordered them on my own so I would at least be able to track the order. Tip for the store: confirm the estimated delivery date with the customer and provide them enough sample contacts to hold them over!

Staff was very nice in person but if you are trying to get a prescription fast, do not go here.
I had to wait 2.5 weeks for my trial contacts to be delivered. Then after trying them for a couple of days, it took 3 calls over multiple days to confirm that they were good and to have my prescription finalized. My appointment was 1/3 and I had my prescription sent to me 1/27. Also one of the receptions was very rude, like she was annoyed she had to take my calls.
Other than that, the in person appointment and experience was good. Everyone was friendly when I was actually at the location.
