My 85 year old mother was in the car Along with my aunt. I told him my husband was a physician and he needed his glasses for work the following day and this made no difference to him. He kept chatting like he was having a romantic dinner with this woman! There was absolutely no service provided to us even to see what the issue was. I Informed him that I would be reporting him and he said go ahead! The reception is a very nice lady, introduced me to a nice looking smiling guy named Paul and said he could help you. Paul did look long time, about 20 minutes find a solution to locate a tiny fitting screw at the hinges of my glasses, finally fixing the problem. Very professional job. What surprised me: they didn’t not charge me anything and did it for free! The experience at the store is very nice, making my day. Three other places did it fine without that excuse (and gave me different values which is why I wanted to quadruple check). A day earlier I called the doctor to get my records here and they confirmed that I was last there in March 2013, but they no longer had the values on file. However, when I tried to get my records from the sales rep to prove I was a customer (and purchased glasses there back in 2013, which were probably the ones I had on) their records only went back to 2014 (and the doctor wasn't in the office then to verify what I was saying). As they were already beyond rude, I didn't even try to ask for a complimentary glasses adjustment as I'm sure they would have just made up some other excuse. The store was completely empty so it wasn't like they were doing anything else already, they just didn't want to help someone who wasn't purchasing glasses there. To start, the “exam” itself took about 3 minutes. The optometrist seemed far more focused on finishing the examination than providing a thorough exam. Despite emphasizing the contact brand I use, I was given a prescription for the incorrect brand. I have used the same brand of contacts my entire life. So in addition to verbalizing it, this should have also been on my file. I had to return the contacts I ordered for new ones. And even better, I am about 90% sure that my prescription in one eye is incorrect. I am unable to return my contacts again. I will have to deal with headaches and an incorrect prescription for a year simply because the optometrist wanted to get to his lunch break sooner. That, or go down another $1000+.\n\nMy former optometrist was phenomenal. He would provide a lengthy examination each and every time, in addition to ordering 2-week trials in case my prescription changes.\n\nI can’t speak on the rest of the staff, but my experience with the optometrist at Pearle Vision has been incredibly poor.
