Late last year at my appointment, Dr. Sledge advised that she was now certified for a new therapy for chronic severe dry eye. It is a non-surgical procedure using radio frequency, and pulse light. Having had severe dry eye for the better part of 20 years I felt like I had tried everything! From creams to eye drops to masks to heat, you name it. When Dr. Sledge told me about it and the success that she had had with some of her other patients, I said, sign me up! Each procedure lasts about an hour. After the first couple of procedures, I could definitely tell a difference in the moisture in my eyes. After four procedures over several months, my eyes have never felt better! If you’re on the fence about this procedure, I would definitely take the plunge. Dr. Sledge and her staff are well trained and knowledgeable regarding this process.
