I wish I would have never gone here, and I most assuredly will not be returning.
Being under a new vision insurance, this was my first time coming to pearle vision. My previous experiences with other optical shops is that they would walk you through what all the lens options where in terms of materials and available coatings. That did not happen here. Initially, the woman helping me select a pair of frames and picking out lenses did not fully inform me on the high-cost of the lenses I was purchasing until she had rung me up. I was under the impression that the only blue filter available at pearle vision was the expensive "crizal" coating. Turns out there was a less expensive option that I would have opted for had it been offered... when it came time to pay for my glasses I was astounded by the price, and once I reflected on the insurance breakdown I was incredibly upset that 90% of my $600 glasses was the uncovered crizal lens coating.
When I picked my glasses up, there was something very strange with my field of vision. After wearing them for a day I returned to pearle vision, here was an issue: I was experiencing a sort of "fish lens" distortion with the glasses on that was causing serious visual discomfort. Working with a different optician when I went back in, I was told there was nothing wrong with my glasses and there was nothing that could be done to make them more comfortable. She said that it would take up to 7 weeks for my eyes to adjust to a new prescription... Then, upon further review she decided that the measurement for the center of my lenses was off. They offered no solutions so, not being an optician myself, I thought maybe the new prescription was perhaps too magnifying, and I could not possibly stomach having paid $600 for something I would not be able to make use of. We agred to remake my lenses with my outdated previous prescription.
Went back a 2nd time to pick up my glasses, the Thursday before 4th of July weekend. During my drive home from pearle vision I noticed I was again experiencing that "fish lens" distortion. Unfortunately, they were not open Friday because of the holiday so I had to wait a few days before I could return to the store. This ended up being for the better, because I was able to identify what the issue truly was: there was a defect in the lens. Some kind of strange dimple in the center of the right lens, centered over my pupil. Looking through the dimple was causing the fish lens effect.
Went in for a 3rd time to talk to them about the defect, and I was told by one woman that there was nothing wrong with my glasses, and that because I had already had my lenses remade, I would need to pay 40% of the cost to make my glasses wearable. A 2nd woman got involved and was also saying the same thing. I felt like I was being gaslit, they told me that the distortion in my vision was from my "progressive" lenses. I asked if this was true, why was it only on the right side. They kept telling me it was on both sides. I said several times that it was only on the right lens and not the left, and they kept telling me it was on both lenses! After quite a bit of back and forth, the optician finally observed the defect in the lens that I was trying to communicate to them. I for the life of me cannot tell if they were lying to avoid having to fix their own mistake, or if there was a genuine ineptitude in identifying a defect in their own product.
I also genuinely believe that that was the same defect I was struggling with in my first issued pair, because it was creating the same "fish lens" distortion, but there is no way to prove that.
4th time in I picked up my glasses, and at this point they seem wearable. But I am stuck now: I am out $600 and have to wear an outdated prescription for at least the next year. It does not seem right.

Had a great experience here today. The doctor was really helpful explaining in much detail about my test results and different options for the future. It was busy and the staff was working really hard to help everyone. I also liked the photo in the bathroom lol

I'd recommend Pearle Vision to anyone looking to get glasses or contacts. Jemina has great taste and can help pick out frames that fit your facial structure and also look great. 5/5 ⭐️ service. Also the doctor explained everything and answered all questions.

Made the appointment for new glasses and contacts. Dr. Mueller and Maryann were excellent! Worked with me to make sure I received exactly what I needed. However, when it came time to purchase glasses, Lijah was hesitant when I told her my needs and seemed reluctant, although she did end up giving me what I asked for. My opinion is that she could be a bit more smiley 😊.

The doctor was very kind, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Since I had never worn contact lenses before, I was recommended a contact lens training session. I paid for it before receiving the service and even before the appointment took place.
However, within 30 minutes of making the payment, I called back and explained that I had changed my mind and preferred to schedule an appointment for glasses instead. I was told that I could still attend the training, but that my payment would not be refunded.
What disappointed me is that I never received the service I paid for, nor did I use any physical product. While I appreciate the doctor’s excellent care and professionalism, I was unhappy with the office’s refund policy and the lack of flexibility in this situation.

Dr Mueller is awesome! No one likes an eye exam but she makes it a great experience. Great selection of frames too!

Doctor Mueller was great during exam and ladies at front desk were helpful. it was until i finished my exam and went to purchase my glasses that i felt unwanted there by Lijah. When sitting down and going over extras add ons with glasses they where not explained and skimmed over as if it was not important. i feel this was very entrapping and a very easy way to add extra on to a bill without know. especially what the extra add on is and how much it cost. Expecting your customer to know what your talking about is a very long stretch. Thank you will be coming back for my glasses 😁
