The receptionist did not answer my question but proceeded to ask me my insurance information. During this process of gathering my info I asked twice if they accepted my insurance for glasses. She did not answer me. The third time I asked she said yes they accept it. I should have let this give me a clue but I set an appointment for the next available because I needed new glasses asap..\nThen upon arrival they wanted to sell me two different tests not covered under insurance which thankfully I declined only after a long conversation. I opted for the old eyedrop dilation test instead which was included in my insurance. While I was waiting for the drops to work I asked which frames were covered under my insurance so I could start looking. The lady told me to just look at the frames to see what I liked and she would be right with me. This sounded odd since I know from experience my insurance only covers specific frames. Then I was told they didn’t accept my insurance for the lenses only the exam! What?? I asked why they didn’t tell me that in the first place? They strung me along because they took what they could which was the exam fee and tried to sell me the rest. Without regard that I was there for glasses covered by my insurance because I couldn’t afford glasses without it!\n\nThe one receptionist did give me a phone number for Safeway and said they accept my insurance for lenses. Safeway ? They happened to be right next door. That was curious .. I don’t think I’m the first person that they’ve ever done this with.\nThe doctor was thorough but overall this company is not integral. The only reason I chose this practice as they used to be the best with their guest, but not anymore after my current experience, unfortunately!\n\nI told them I would need my glasses as soon as possible due to headaches, and kept calling this practice to see if glasses were in, but they didn’t, and after 3 weeks, I called again and got to know that they were sitting in the bin, and they left message on my old number, even thou I got it changed in their system, and find out they run two system which one was changed and other system it didn’t had my updated contact info. I went away with the prescription and still got headaches for wrong prescription, and gave me non-stop headache with it, and I called them back to make another appoint with them, but never received confirmation call and text for my second appoint and got cancelled. I made another appoint to see another doctor and was told when I had arrived at their location being slightly “late” as I was rushing after work that “sorry” other doctor said, he cant see me and would need to see another 3rd doctor. I said, why I did not receive “any” call, or message right away for this sudden change without my knowledge and consent, and was told you should have called us, if you were being little late, and I said I should I have received the call for the change instead of me driving down all the north wasting my mileage and gas to your place just to hear: Sorry, the other doctor can’t see you and now it’s another doctor! Then the doctor decided to see me after 1 and half hour, waited, waited, and waited just to be seen to fix my glasses issue!\n\nIt will be one of my most memorable experience which would never wanna experience again such with any optometrist practice, even ones of the unorganized and slowest practices, I encountered!
